Host Your Own Fundraiser for Native Child and Family Services of Toronto
Peer-to-Peer Fundraising (P2P) is a fundraising method in which individual supporters or groups fundraise on behalf of a cause or organization. These fundraising events can take place online or in person. You can fundraise as an individual or as part of a community group, school, or workplace.
Below are some steps to get you started.
Step 1: Select the type of fundraiser you would like to run.
Some examples are:
- Social Media Campaigns
- Office Challenges
- Athletic Events (walk, bike, or run events)
- Cause Awareness Campaigns
- Birthday or Holiday Fundraisers
- Community Events (bake sales, yard sales)
Step 2: Set Your Campaign Goals
- Come up with a fundraising goal
- Determine how long the campaign will run
Step 3: Connect With Us for Your P2P Toolkit
Send an email to [email protected] with your idea. We will provide you with a P2P Toolkit that includes:
- Your own page on the secure fundraising platform, CanadaHelps. You will be able to manage donations and communications with donors. (All donations will be processed online – you will not need to handle cash!)
- Promotional material (copy, photos, logos, videos) to use on your fundraising page, email templates, and social media posts.
- Guidance and support from our team every step of the way.
Step 4: Once your campaign is in place, go live and share it with your friends, family, and networks!
